CooperRose

After the birth of her first child, CooperRose founder, Derrin Moore, dove headfirst into the world of natural parenting. Everything she found thrilled her: from cloth diapers that replace disposables to best practices and strategies for breastfeeding, and so much more. She had found exactly what she was looking for in how she wanted to raise her son in a natural, sustainable, and accessible way.

But the deeper she explored, the more it became clear to her that her own Black community was mostly unaware of the possibilities within the realm of eco-focused, natural parenting. She wanted to share the ideas, strategies, and benefits of natural parenting with everyone, and to ensure that all caregivers had the same opportunity to gain the knowledge that had excited her so much. With that realization, CooperRose was born!

CooperRose is more than just a diaper and baby brand that makes sustainable, organic alternatives to the disposable and wasteful baby products that we all know. They're also a Black-owned, woman-owned, and mother-owned company that advocates and provides resources for parents who may not know about the myriad of benefits within natural and conscious parenting.

EcoParenting + Modern Beauty

In 2019 alone, 3.8 million babies were born in the U.S. With each child going through an average of 2,700 diapers in their first year, that means a potential of 1.2 billion disposable diapers heading straight for the landfill, or even worse, the ocean. That's why CooperRose chose to go in a different, more sustainable direction. By crafting reusable cloth diapers and other baby essentials from gentle, natural fibers like organic cotton, linen, and hemp, CooperRose is standing up against the wasteful, expensive, and planet-damaging baby essentials industry. These aren't your traditional cloth diapers either, held together by pointy metal pins. CooperRose's products feature modern, attractive designs, styles, and colors that are as baby-safe as they are cute! As a brand focused on enriching their community, it won't come as a surprise that their production process also focuses on community-based partnerships. By working with small manufacturing partners, CooperRose invests in talented individuals passionate about their mission and community. They're dedicated to honoring craftsmanship for the things our little ones wear something often overlooked in the rest of the baby essentials world. Plus, by exclusively working with local partners, CooperRose minimizes unnecessary transportation costs and emissions. CooperRose's mission is, at its core, a commitment to advocating for natural parenting. From using natural fibers that are soft and comfortable on even the most sensitive skin, to cloth diapers that are easy to wash and reuse, you can rest assured that everything surrounding your little one is thoughtfully designed to ensure it benefits you, our planet, and most importantly, your baby.
