When founder Francine Chambers was a teenager, she quickly grew tired of the awkwardness that surrounds "dealing" with your period. The bulkiness of pads, the constant worry of a leaky tampon, the avoided eye contact at the grocery store as you hide your period products amongst canned goods and produce. Not to mention, the overarching "wasteful" feeling when disposing of each product after a few hours of use. As Francine grew older, she began researching alternative menstrual care and found that she was one of many who shared a passion for a better period experience.
Enter: menstrual cups. A waste-free, stress-free solution to any monthly bleeding. Francine dedicated 10 years of her career to selling and promoting these innovative products around the world. In 2001, Francine and her daughter, Carinne, began experimenting with their own ideas and designs; together they designed The DivaCup, the reusable menstrual cup that encourages a more positive period experience for menstruators any age.
