This small family business was founded by a certified toxicologist, herbalist, and beach wanderer, Ali Perry-Hatch, whose story is rather unique. Growing up on St. Simons Island, Georgia, Ali's love for nature and island life was deeply instilled in her from a young age. She took the normal children's play potions to the next level‚ creating marsh mud masks and sea salt sprays for her friends and family.
As she grew up, Ali's love for the natural world, and how to protect it, deepened. She focused her career as a humanitarian engineer in global environmental health and toxicology. For years, she traveled the world, learning about toxins and their effect on our bodies and our planet. Learning the negative impacts of synthetic chemicals led her to eventually pursue a career in natural alternatives while she and her husband were living in an off-the-grid treehouse. After a long and difficult recovery from a nearly fatal car accident, as well as discovering she was pregnant with her son, Ali knew she had to fully commit to living a toxin-free lifestyle. Her passion for creating high-quality maritime products led to the birth of Earth Harbor, and her dedication can be seen in every product.

Ali's standards are incredibly high (and that's why we love Earth Harbor!). This unique company offers personalized, synthetic-free skincare that checks all of the boxes! Each product is made with purely natural, nontoxic, and clean ingredients. With an ethical supply chain as the main focus, Earth Harbor sources each ingredient using fair trade, organic, non-GMO, or wildcrafted sources. Plus, each product is vegan and certified cruelty-free through Leaping Bunny.
In addition to the focus on eco-friendly inputs, the entire creation process is rooted in sustainability. All products are handmade in small batches in order to supply the freshest and most nutrient dense products to customers. Each product is made in the US, either in their Saint Simons Island studio, while other products are made, infused, bottled, packaged, and shipped from their solar powered factory in Utah!
Curious about their Jade accessories? All of the Jade used is sustainably and ethically sourced in China from a family owned business. To ensure an ethical supply chain, the factory is audited through The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI).
When it comes to how these products are packaged, Earth Harbor still doesn't skip a beat. Each product is packaged in glass with minimal plastic accessories to preserve the ingredients and avoid unnecessary plastic usage. Each product is also packaged in a box made with FSC certified paperboard.
Rooted in their passion for marine habitats, Earth Harbor is also a proud partner of 1% for the Planet. They have partnerships with Wild Earth Allies Inc., Oceana, and Water For People. Wild Earth Allies focuses on culturally appropriate ways to build partnerships with different networks to protect wildlife and habitats. With programs such as Marine Turtle Conservation, we can see why Earth Harbor loves supporting them! As advocates for marine life, Earth Harbor also gives their support and contributions to Oceana, an organization striving to make oceans more biodiverse and abundant through policy reform. Their campaign-driven, fact-based approach is the key to their success!
