In 2021, Van Fan, the co-founder of HuBee, noticed that the sustainability space lacked a fun flare for home essentials. With over ten years of experience in building sustainable supply chains, the HuBee team quickly put their expertise to the test by creating unforgettable products that last a lifetime. What makes HuBee truly unique is that their designs are inspired by the nature that surrounds us all. As such, HuBee's mission is to provide functional and durable products for the home and kitchen that celebrate the beauty of our planet without harming it in return.
Within their first year, this small but mighty team has already made commitments to create a circular supply chain by using durable and recyclable materials that can be used safely for years without generating waste. Plus, they donate 1% of their profits to social causes, making giving and community impact a central part of their business model.

Design Inspired by Nature
HuBee strives to become a leader in sustainable and ethical practices with every step of creating their thoughtfully designed kitchen essentials. For them, the first step was finding the right way to create their products. With the team's extensive background in responsible sourcing, they researched over 100 manufacturers until partnering with a company in China that upholds the highest standards of production. There, a safe working environment is ensured, which prioritizes the wellbeing of their employees. Plus, employees are paid fairly and above minimum wage, so they can attain a higher standard of living.
Moreover, materials are carefully selected to ensure the utmost durability, which decreases the impact on the environment. Silicone, which is used in HuBee's ice trays, is an excellent alternative to plastic because it's both durable and resistant to corrosion. Plus, the 100% food-grade BPA-free material is easy to clean and doesn't grow bacteria, mold, or fungus. For the few plastic components that are utilized, PP plastic is used, which is one of the easiest plastics to recycle and can itself contain recycled material. When it comes to packaging, HuBee uses recycled and recyclable packaging for all of their products. Finally, for the end of life of their products, HuBee is working to partner with TerraCycle to help get one step closer to a circular supply chain.
Beyond monitoring supply chain ethics, HuBee prioritizes giving back to causes they care about. Even as a young company, HuBee has committed to donating 1% of their profits to organizations and charities that promote gender equity, LGBTQIA+ empowerment, and children's welfare.
