Hailing from southern California, Plum Brilliance founder Apryl Martinez has lived her whole life deeply connected with and inspired by her natural environment. Like many of us, she used the "natural" products she could find in local shops‚ but was often disappointed with the results. So she decided to take matters into her own hands.
So, she set off to create Plum Brilliance with two guiding ideals. She was inspired by the concept that our skin is able to absorb everything we put onto it, so non-toxic and natural ingredients were a must for all her products and that she wanted all those ingredients to be sustainably harvested in a way that was mindful of our planet's needs. And so Plum Brilliance was born!
From flowers to leaves, tree bark to herbs, Apryl began absorbing as much knowledge as she could about the natural healing properties of assorted plants, and how they could heal our bodies from the outside, in. She began growing her own herbs and flowers, and foraging for others she found growing wild in nature, custom crafting formulas based on the needs of our bodies, and our Earth. By using what the planet has provided us, she believes that we are able to better reconnect to the natural world, and through that, find healing.

Unlike other skincare companies that rely on preservatives, additives, and hard-to-pronounce chemicals (plus tons of plastic packaging!), this natural skincare company goes the extra mile to make the needs of nature aligned with the needs of our bodies.
Each product starts with Apryl: founder of Plum Brilliance and lover of our natural Earth. She gathers many of the ingredients used in her natural products from her organic farm, where she lovingly tends to an assortment of flowers, herbs, and other botanicals. When she needs an ingredient she does not grow on her farm, she turns to the world around her, foraging and sustainably harvesting botanicals to add the finishing touches to her products. Once she has what she needs, she creates each product in small batches, with energy-intensive practices to create wonderful wildcrafted products.
This method of production may sound unusual, but Apryl doesn't think so! In fact, she believes it is what makes her products truly stand out. From ethical, chemical-free ingredients grown with intention, to plastic-free and mindful product packaging, Plum Brilliance is leading the way for a natural skincare revolution.
