Refresh Glass
Ray DelMuro, a manufacturing engineer, left his job in the early 2000's to travel the world. He came back from the trip feeling refreshed, knowing exactly how he could combine his desire to support the people of his community with his passion for art and engineering. Soon after, in 2008, Refresh Glass was created out of Ray's garage. Refresh Glass teams up with local restaurant partners to rescue empty wine bottles and transform them into beautiful, one-of-a-kind glassware. Refresh Glass blends creativity with emotional engagement, functional utility, and community impact. They believe, like many others, that the products we buy should reflect our personal values. At their core, Refresh Glass is centered around style, function, and community purpose.
In 2010, the Arizona Recycling Coalition awarded Refresh Glass with the Recycling Small Business of the Year award. Then in February of 2020, Refresh Glass was named one of Arizona's first Green Certified Businesses. Refresh Glass even had the honor of supplying the EPA with giveaway prizes at the 2019 Recycling Innovation Fair. Their efforts are certainly being recognized across the state and even on the national level.

Ten Million Bottle Rescue Mission
On average, one person throws away 1,600 pounds of trash each year! And even though 75% is recyclable, only 30% tends to be recycled. Refresh Glass isn't a fan of that statistic, so they're doing their local recycling rate. Refresh Glass breathes new life into old wine bottles, and by doing so, saves enough energy by recycling each bottle to power a 100-watt light bulb for 4 hours! On a mission to rescue 10 million bottles, Refresh Glass has saved over 1.5 million bottles and counting!
Refresh Glass also gives back to their community in so many ways. The brand holds events with their local restaurant partners, sending proceeds to the Phoenix Children's Hospital. To date, these events have raised over $10,000 in donations! Refresh Glass also donates all of their slightly disfigured glassware to Habitat for Humanity. People can ‚cheersto their new home with this stylish glassware! As a partner with Waste Management, Refresh Glass also got to support zero waste efforts at the Open golf tournament in 2019. And always looking for new ways to help the community and environment, they've been participating in Conscious Capitalism events since 2013. Joining profit and purpose, Refresh Glass lives up to their name by having a refreshing view of the role that business should play in the world.
